HoloSurge

The Role of DiCE

In HoloSurge, DiCE is participating in Work Package 10 (WP10) – Dissemination, Exploitation, Communication.

The objectives of WP10 are to:

  • Maximize the societal impact of HoloSurge and the economic success of the developed tools;
  • Promote HoloSurge outputs among a diverse stakeholder base, by elaborating and executing an effective Communication and Dissemination Plan (CDP);
  • Safeguard the commercial exploitation of HoloSurge foreground knowledge;
  • Pave the way for the commercial exploitation of HoloSurge results, by elaborating a detailed business case for our innovative technologies;
  • Empower clinicians, patients, investors, and potential future commercial partners to understand HoloSurge results by promoting dissemination of the research results on both non-confidential/confidential basis.

As part of this WP, DiCE is responsible for engaging the patient community. To empower patients to understand the principles behind, and the technology utilized in the HoloSurge project, DiCE will:

  1. create educational materials (such as information booklets) focused on describing the software tool, as well as on pancreatic and liver cancer prevention, diagnosis and monitoring;
  2. organise specific events to raise awareness around pancreatic cancer and liver cancer in general, as well as around HoloSurge;
  3. inform patients about HoloSurge and disseminate project updates and results via our social media channels, DiCE Monthly Newsletter and DiCE website;
  4. organise a seminar, as well as a hands-on training session (workshop) within DiCE’s network.

These activities will be conducted in hybrid format (in person/online) and will be recorded on YouTube. Hence, they will be available for viewing past the streaming date.
