Who We Are
DiCE was established in 2018 by Jolanta Gore-Booth, Stefan Gijssels, and Prof. Dr. Eric Van Cutsem. It grew from EuropaColon that was founded in 2005 by Jolanta Gore-Booth.
Our Mission:
DiCE is a European non-profit umbrella organisation uniting patient organisations and collaborating with stakeholders dedicated to digestive cancers.
Through advocacy, research, and awareness-raising, we support patients and carers to improve survival and quality of life.
As the voice of the digestive cancer community, we champion early diagnosis and equal access to the highest standards of treatment and care for everyone across Europe.
Our Vision:
DiCE envisions a Europe where fewer people are impacted by digestive cancers and where every individual affected receives a timely diagnosis with personalised treatment and care, leading to better survival and quality of life.
Our Stakeholders
Together with our Members and Partners, we have built a thriving and robust platform. We have alliances with physicians and politicians all over Europe.
Our Members
Our Full Members and Associate Members work with us to mobilise and connect people to get the voices of all patients heard in every country in Europe.
Our Partners
Achieving our mission is a group effort. We are grateful to our funding and collaborating Partners for their support in making this mission possible.
Our Board and Team
Our team is a small group of diverse experts. They connect our Members and partners and work to spread the patient voice across the continent.
The Patient
In Europe, around 800,000 citizens get diagnosed with a digestive cancer every year. We work to empower these digestive cancer patients and their informal carers to have a voice.
Are you one of these voices? Contact us or find your national organisation to get involved and have your voice heard.
