Laura Urena
Medical and Scientific Project Coordinator
Laura joined DiCE in 2024 as a Medical and Scientific Project Coordinator. She is an experienced nurse with a strong teaching background, and clinical expertise in wound, burn, and ostomy care.
Originally from Mexico City, Laura gained clinical experience in different healthcare settings in Latin America and Europe. In 2019, she moved to the UK to pursue a Master’s degree in Europubhealth+ at the University of Sheffield and the Universidad de Granada. This course equipped her with the skills necessary to understand the complexities of clinical and public health perspectives. Laura is passionate about driving positive change in healthcare and is eager to contribute to the success of medical and scientific cancer initiatives and advocate for cancer patients.
Outside of work, Laura is a plant and history enthusiast who loves to travel.
