Michael Kecht

Michael Kecht is a colorectal cancer stage 3C survivor and dedicated patient advocate based in Berchtesgaden, Bayern, Germany. Diagnosed at just 28, he has become a voice for young adults facing digestive cancers, sharing his story widely through interviews to raise awareness and de-stigmatize patient experiences.

Michael is actively involved in building and moderating support networks for young colorectal cancer patients in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, advocating for tailored support and psychosocial resources. His work with organizations like Stiftung für Junge Erwachsene mit Krebs and his contributions to projects like JUMP_START at NCT Heidelberg reflect his ongoing commitment to improving care, early diagnosis, and policy for digestive cancer patients across Europe.
