Dr. Carlo Senore
Advisor on CRC Screening
Dr. Senore leads the Piedmont Region Screening Program at ‘CPO Piemonte, AOU Città della Salute e della Scienza’ in Turin, drawing from extensive experience in public health, particularly in cancer screening programs.
Dr. Senore’s contributions extend beyond clinical practice, as he has been a faculty member at the University of Turin’s Medical School since 2004, where he lectures on evidence-based medicine and is part of the post-doctoral School of Oncology.
His diverse research interests encompass colorectal and breast cancer screening organisation and evaluation, cancer screening compliance, comparative effectiveness of CRC screening strategies, health technology assessment, guidelines development, smoking prevention and control, and interventions promoting healthy lifestyles, including diet, physical activity, and tobacco consumption. Dr. Senore also boasts significant experience in designing, implementing, and analysing randomised trials to evaluate screening strategies, diagnostic technologies, and primary prevention interventions, along with developing clinical guidelines and quality control projects to assess the treatment quality of colorectal cancer.
