Filip Luypaert

He brings over 30 years of experience in the MedTech industry, having held various leadership roles in marketing, sales, and strategy. Throughout his career, he has remained deeply committed to people development and community building. Filip is also a certified coach, accredited by the International Coaching Federation.
In 2013, Filip was diagnosed with stage IV rectal cancer. After three relapses, he has been in remission since 2016. This life-changing journey sparked his passion for patient advocacy. Since 2016, he has served as Chairman of the Patient Committee at Kom op tegen Kanker, where he works to bring the patient voice closer to clinical research and decision-making.
He is also an ambassador for Stopdarmkanker, actively supporting awareness campaigns around colorectal cancer screening. Filip has been invited on multiple occasions to share his perspective on meaningful patient participation.
Today, Filip is eager to combine his corporate expertise with his advocacy work through his contribution to DICE. He firmly believes that the patient voice is essential in shaping healthcare policy. Sharing an experience he never wished to have has become a guiding principle in his mission.
He is committed to supporting DICE in giving digestive cancers a strong platform, one that prioritises patient well-being, quality of life, and improved survival outcomes in the years ahead.
