Iga Rawicka
ACTING CHAIR
As a Board Member, Iga acts as a representative of our Member organisation EuropaColon Polska; in this capacity she offers us invaluable advice from the national Member perspective.
Iga Rawicka is an expert in the field of communication in healthcare with over 20 years of experience gained while working in international pharmaceutical and medical companies. For several years, she has been concentrating on her own activities implementing various projects, including educational campaigns in many therapeutic areas, supporting patients in improving their quality of life and striving for better access to treatment in accordance with international standards.
The EuropaColon Polska Foundation was founded in 2017. Here, Iga is also an active member of the board. At EuropaColon she works for patients with gastrointestinal diseases, mainly colorectal, pancreatic, stomach, oesophagus and liver cancers. The Foundation is a very active DiCE Member that works in many areas of the healthcare system in order to change the reality of the Polish digestive cancer patient. It is also laureate of international competitions: Pancreatic Cancer Advocacy Workshop Award (PACAW), 2019 ImpactPANC Award and the Wolfram Nolte Memorial Award 2019.
Beyond these activities Iga also authors medical publications including two abstracts: ‘Discovery and Diagnosis of metastatic colorectal cancer (MCRC) in the real world: Final results from European Survey and Quality of life (QoL) in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) in the real world’ and ‘Final results of a European survey presented among others during ESMO 2019 in Barcelona and published in Annals of Oncology’. She is also a member of the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO).
