DiCE Proud to Be Part of #UEGWeek2024
Collaboration and partnerships are fundamental to our work, so it was a pleasure to participate in UEG Week again this year, held in Vienna. It provided an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about our work and establish valuable connections with healthcare professionals and patient advocates to improve patient outcomes across Europe.
This year, DiCE hosted a booth where we promoted our many exciting new initiatives. One of these initiatives is ENTERO, an international conference on early-age onset digestive cancers. We are co-organizing this event with our member organisation, Europacolon Portugal, and it will take place on 14 and 15 November in Porto and online. We were thrilled to engage with many experts and professionals who showed active interest in our work.
A highlight of our involvement was the Digestive Health Roundtable, where the report “Enhancing Transitional Care in Digestive Health” was officially launched. This report addresses young patients’ challenges when transitioning from pediatric to adult care and outlines practical solutions for better care coordination and outcomes. Our representatives contributed to discussions on addressing the gaps in care coordination and the need for better disease management during this crucial phase.
We want to thank UEG and everyone who visited our booth or participated in the roundtable. We look forward to continuing our collaboration and seeing everyone again at UEG Week 2025. If you missed the event, check out the key findings from the Digestive Health Roundtable here!
