We are thrilled to announce that two participants from Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE) completed the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme in Prague last week! Cristina from EuropaColon Italia and Miranda from PASYKAF both showed incredible motivation as they undertook the challenging online training, which usually takes up to 14 months to complete. They were determined to make the time for the courses and studies, reflecting their strong commitment to advancing their understanding of the medicines’ development process and how it impacts patients.

Both Cristina and Miranda are now officially certified EUPATI Patient Experts, joining the ranks of 81 fellows from 22 countries. This program is highly regarded within the medical community, ensuring that patients are fully informed and equipped to participate in the medicines’ development process. The program emphasizes the importance of building strong relationships between patients, researchers, and healthcare providers. It allows patients to be more engaged and empowered to play a key role in advancing medical research and outcomes.

The popularity of the EUPATI Patient Expert Training Programme is a testament to its success, with a waiting list established for participants. This program has become an essential tool in preparing patients for the complex and constantly evolving world of medical research.
