DiCE at the AIDA General Assembly 2025

The AIDA General Assembly 2025 occurred from March 24 to 25 at Imperial College London. It brought together experts, researchers, and consortium members to discuss the latest advancements in gastric cancer research.
Representing Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE), Ana Martins and Laura Ureña actively participated in the meeting, ensuring that the patient perspective and effective communication remain at the heart of the project. Their contributions reinforced the importance of patient engagement and awareness in AIDA’s mission to improve early detection and treatment strategies for gastric cancer.
Ana Martins presented key findings from the AIDA survey on public awareness of chronic inflammation in the gastric mucosa, shedding light on the need for better education and prevention strategies. Meanwhile, Laura Ureña led discussions on enhancing AIDA’s communication efforts, including social media strategies.
