DiCE Represents Patient Voice in Report ‘Improving Time to Patient Access to Innovative Oncology Therapies in Europe’
September brought the presentation of the Report ‘Improving Time to Patient Access to Innovative Oncology Therapies in Europe’ This took place in a publically accessible meeting ‘Every Day Counts: Accelerate Access, Beat Cancer’, with Stefan Gijssels, DiCE CEO as active participant.
The event was the culmination of a longer-term project that brought stakeholders across Europe together around opportunities to improve time to patient access for innovative, value-adding oncology therapies. Initiated by the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Association, the project and subsequent report involved over 30 organisations. Stefan Gijssels contributed the digestive cancer patient voice towards this collective work.
The report focuses on the dimensions of time to market access and patient access. An important point made in the report is that time to market access can become an abstract objective, especially for those involved in reimbursement discussions. Whereas for patients: ‘Every Day Counts’.
