To increase the confidence in the colonoscopy procedure – a key screening technique for suspected colorectal cancer – our UK Member Bowel Cancer UK has launched a focused campaign on ‘colonoscopy confidence’.
The campaign was developed as research showed the procedure often suffers from non-attendance in the UK. The organisation set out to understand patient barriers to attending the colonoscopy appointments and developed a communication campaign to tackle the problem using a fresh, authentic and a human tone of voice to create engagement around an often difficult subject.
To this purpose they have created a toolkit and all assets can be found on their website. Please contact Catie Young, Communication Manager if you want any other information on this campaign.
