Uniting for Liver Health: DiCE Advances Dialogue at the 59th EASL Congress in Milan
Digestive Cancers Europe was an active participant in the 59th edition of the European Association for the Study of the Liver Congress in Milan from June 5 to 8. This global gathering, which unites the world of hepatology, saw a remarkable turnout with 7807 attendees, including clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals, patient representatives, and industry professionals from over 118 countries. This diverse and collaborative environment truly reflects our shared commitment to liver health.
DiCE, as a proud partner of the EASL Synergies, played a pivotal role in the Patient Forum discussion on the unmet patient needs within clinical settings. By amplifying patient voices and fostering meaningful dialogue between patients and healthcare providers, this forum not only catalysed positive change but also reaffirmed our collective commitment to improving liver health outcomes. A recurring theme of this year’s discussion was the stigma associated with liver health, which we are determined to address as it creates barriers to better primary and secondary prevention.
DiCE also presented the results of the Liver Cancer Index in the Public Health track networking space.
The EASL Congress was a stimulating journey filled with exciting discussions, and we hope to continue fruitful and efficient collaboration with all our partners to improve outcomes for liver cancer patients.
