Zorana Maravic, DiCE CEO, Co-Chairs Global Effort for Medicine Accessibility
In an inspiring move toward global healthcare improvement, Zorana Maravic, CEO of Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE), took centre stage as co-chair of the Making Access Happen: Sandoz Global Access Forum in Munich this June. This pivotal gathering united 30 passionate patient advocate leaders from 18 countries to shape strategies that leverage the potential of generic and biosimilar medicines for greater healthcare accessibility.
The forum’s crowning achievement was co-creating the Making Access Happen Consensus Statement. This manifesto lays out tangible solutions designed to provide timely access to affordable and appropriate medications—solutions that can mean the difference between life and death, significantly enhancing patient outcomes and quality of life.
This forum, aligning perfectly with DiCE’s mission to transform the lives of individuals affected by digestive cancers across Europe, underscored the vital importance of collaboration. Patient organisations, healthcare providers, policymakers, pharmaceutical companies, and other stakeholders are all called to work harmoniously to ignite initiatives enhancing access to essential medicines.
With enthusiasm and commitment, DiCE proudly endorses The Consensus Statement below.
